Beautiful and easily accessible overlook. The views of the canyons and the Rio Grande are wonderful especially at sunrise or sunset. Had a great time watching the 2023 Annular Eclipse here.
Very cool place for a local park.
Visited here to get pictures of the recent "Ring of Fire" Eclipse and hung around a bit afterwards to take photos of the Rio Grande and other features in the surrounding wilderness.
Awesome place, keeping on the list of places to repeat visit!
Great sunset views! Walked from Hampton Inn, White Rock. 3.7 miles round trip (sidewalks the whole way). Went late in afternoon/evening Oct. @ 6:00PM.
One of my very favorite overlooks - you can see monumental, layered natural history in every direction. This includes the Rio Grande, a waterfall, the Santa Fe National Forest in the distance, and more - whaaat! Amazing. Be careful walking around if you are not used to the area or hiking - there are many rocky, steep parts, just fyi. There is a nice little paved path to a little overlook to take pics. It also leads to the Blue Dot Trail, I believe, which leads to the Red Dot Trail. There's a great deal of lava rock, as well, which is exciting. Truly worth the visit.
Nice, but not really quite worth the detour if you've seen Sedona or the Grand Canyon or Bisti Badlands or Sandia Peak or... Well you get the idea. Beautiful, but not exceptional.
Nice overlook in white rock park area. Limited parking.. maybe 4 or 5 vehicles at the end. But don't think it gets too crowded.
Be careful not to fall.. or you will see the other side of the world. There is view point area where there is rails but you can walk down little more to rock path that people already walked.
If you're heading for a visit to Los Alamos NM, take a short side trip to experience the views from this overlook park. It's just incredible. And the weather is almost always great!
A great spot for a short stop at sunrise 🌅 or sunset 🌇.
